Celeste Porter

Celeste Burdell Porter, a professional artist in Atlanta, GA, is energized by the creative process and communication impact. Her most recent designs, the Tumbled and Tossed collection, result from her long interest in gifts from the sea. The intrinsic beauty of broken shell forms inspires unique creations that are enhanced by their warm honed finish. The found objects are used without fabrication and form one-of-a-kind designs that invite the viewer to linger and contemplate their unexpected beauty. Simple but elegant designs carry timeless appeal and a parallel message to the heart.

My Inspiration
Beauty and broken are normally not considered in the same dimension of art or life, but their unexpected intersection redefines both in a transformative experience. Shells and other objects are broken and reduced by the powerful forces of the ocean against the sand. The resulting shapes, sizes, textures, and colors offer great opportunity for new designs that are far different than the original creation. They invite reflection and point the way for true healing and hope.
Even though waves of difficulty toss each of us, we still have immense value, beauty and strength. Hope is found and reigns eternally. Like the broken shells, we are broken people. God picks us up with love that can restore and give hope and eternal life. The results may not be what we originally imagined for our life or situation. However, it can be beautiful in transformative ways if we are willing to see His design.

Jill Haack

A walk thru the Pandemic. Finding my faith and keeping  hope alive in our hearts and minds thru my experimentation with gold under-paintings using oils, watercolors and other mixed media, including glitter. May the gold thread that runs thru my paintings bring you hope…
Jill Leslie Haack

Painting is a way to express my creative vision. In the words of
Vincent VanGogh: “If you love nature, you will find beauty
everywhere.” This is how I try to live. The water, birds, nature,
butterflies and flowers have always been a passion for me; I
have been painting since the second grade. I hope you see
something more than just the surface image as these paintings
and see the soul and passion that each one has. I hope that the
paintings come to life and make you remember and feel again.
I am an Artist and Art Instructor who loves spending time in
my Garden Studio located in North Georgia.

My studio is a place that welcomes and provides a safe harbor
for creation. I love to share my vision with my students, who
range in age from 4 to 80. I currently have some of my work at
the Olympic Park in Gainesville to promote my love for water
sports. One of my paintings was just selected by Vision 2030 to be installed at the Olympic Park this fall. I have had my art on display at the Georgia’s Governors Office, Bowen Art Center, Tannery
Row Artist Colony, Alpharetta Arts Center, Elachee Nature Center, Olympic Venue, Chattahoochee River Keepers, and the Quinlan Art Center.
I am currently teaching in my studio and virtually, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in Gainesville, Quinlan Art Center and the Brenau University Learning and Leisure Institute. I enjoy sharing my love of art with students of all ages and sharing my love of nature and art.

Kathy Kitz

Kathy A. Kitz is a self-taught full-time abstract artist working in watercolor and acrylic. Her home studio is in Lawrenceville, a suburb of Atlanta, GA. Her painting process is intuitive and she considers painting her personal journey. Her acrylic abstract paintings are unplanned, using many layers and texture, which she creates using brushes, scrapers, brayers, and found objects to make her gestural marks, she removes paint and applies more paint until the painting feels complete and nothing more that can be added or changed.
Kathy's watercolors are on Yupo, a recyclable, waterproof, non-absorbent tree-free synthetic made of 100% polypropylene. Using many layers of watercolor that she wipes, scrapes, stamps, and scribbles to create her unique mark making. Kathy wants the viewer to use their imagination when viewing her work and hopes they leave with a sense of wonder and calm. Kathy’s inspiration comes from the play of light and shadows found in nature. Kathy is an award-winning artist who is active in several art organizations. Her paintings have been accepted into many shows throughout the US. Her work is in private collections throughout the US. In addition to working in her studio, she also teaches workshops in watercolor and acrylic.

Jason Bohannon - Photography

An avid photographer since buying his first digital camera at the age of sixteen. Jason is a self taught artist with a passion for capturing a wide variety of subjects. He has over 25 years of experience behind the lens. Starting with bugs and flowers in his backyard to the rivers and mountains of North Georgia where he was born and raised. His journey as a photographer took him down unexpected roads that crafted and guided his particular style.

Locally you can find Jason's work on display in places like City Hall, Hunt Tower, Gainesville Airport, Chattahoochee Golf Club, and even on public display outside Northeast Georgia medical center as part of the Vision 2030 "Art Everywhere" project. He's also done extensive commercial photography work for The Norton Agency and Ncredible Properties.

As a cosplay photographer he's worked with hundreds of models. His work has been published in fashion magazines like Marie Claire UK and CoplayZine. His varied photographic work has also been published by Global brands such as Ferrari, Prestel Publishing, and even Playboy magazine.

In his own words:  "Each new project is a chance to capture not just an image, but an experience. A captive moment of light that will never exist in that exact way again. It might be a mountain morning. It might be the Queen of Hearts in her rose garden. No matter the subject I always try to find the magic and wonder that can get lost in a world we think we know and help us remember what it feels like to discover something new."
