Zoercher Pottery

The talented hands of Philip Zoercher were first trained to be a surgeon specializing in ear, nose and throat. He is currently retired frompracticing medicine. In 1975, he became interested in sculpture- a natural extension of his medical work into the arts. While attending a scupture workshop, he met a potter who inspired him to give that a try. He became fascinated and pursued it with an intensity that is the trademark of his personality. Continuously innovative, he rarely throws the same pot twice. he is constantly exprimenting with new glazes and finishes that make his pieces distinctive.

Zoercher pottery is avidly collected and coveted in Gainesville, and can now be purchased worldwide.  No two pieces are exactly alike, it is a rare opportunity to own a piece of pottery of this quaity by an artist whose talent is sure to become more widely appreciated with time.
