We are seeking truly gifted students ages 5 to 14, those with exemplary artistic skills and a true yearning to learn something new. Please be advised that Art Camp should not be considered a daycare option and ought to be recommended to deserving students only. This is an opportunity for students who you think would ultimately benefit from this experience. If your child is homeschooled, they may apply as well.

Scholarship & Parental Consent forms may be either mailed or faxed for review.  Parents will be notified directly regarding acceptance, and will need to provide their own transportation.  Please contact our offices at the number indicated below with any questions regarding the application process. There are a limited number of scholarships that will be awarded, so please expedite the return of scholarship applications to insure that your student will have ample opportunity for review.

Thank you also to Grace Episcopal Church in Gainesville, Georgia for their contribution to the Summer Art Camp, 2009. The bi-annual Festival of the Arts event was held in November of 2008. The artists chose our program to donate 10% of the proceeds of their sales.

2008 Summer Art Camp "My Life, My Story, My Art"

Image

Stories that are told by art survive the ages. For centuries, art has been created to communicate tales about the artist, their home, their personal journey, their way of life and traditions, thoughts and ideas. These are the stories that endure. Using all different media, children will tell their very own stories through art while they learn to express their unique points of view, imagination, ideas and emotions through artistic expression. Teachers will use both icons of the past as well as present artists on display at the center as inspiration. This summer at the Quinlan, we want to learn about your art story!

Read all about it! Click HERE to read the article "Camp's Art Mirrors Life" by Kelsey Zottnick from the June 12th issue of The Gainesville Times.

Making each and every summer unforgettable for over a decade, we are always thrilled to host Summer Art Camp just for kids for TEN weeks each summer. THE most popular children's activity at the Quinlan - Art Camp has become a summer tradition for many families in Gainesville and other surrounding communities. All children ages 5- 14 are welcome to attend one or more of our five, two-week sessions. Your child will create one-of-a-kind artworks in all types of media using artists and artistic movements of the past and present as well as current Quinlan exhibitions as inspiration.

Art Camp, 2007: The Art of Nature

Image

From the very first cave painting, nature has been a recurring theme in art around the world. No matter the current fashion in the art community, the natural world remains a constant source of inspiration. Art Camp 2007 The Art of Nature focused on the importance of nature in the art world and campers created imaginative and inspired works of art that echo the beauty of the out doors.
