I will share the knowledge gained during the trials and errors I experienced putting together my images in this manner, drilling holes, mounting to white opaque plexiglass and more. Samples of my work on plexiglas can be seen by clicking on my name above (highlighted in red). Participants are encouraged to wear old clothing/aprons. Each participant needs to email me (click HERE to email) their image in jpg format 8.5x11 at 300 PPI before the day of class. Supplies needed: one pan at least 10x14 in length and width, 1" deep and a hair dryer.

All files will be downloaded to my laptop and printed on the aluminum with my Espson 1800 (with color pigment ink or black and white carbon ink).  All skill levels, ages 15 and up. This course will cover basic techniques of watercolor including wet on dry, wet on wet, washes, layered washes, color mixing and others. Content emphasizes painting from observation, color usage and composition.

Wrapsody Jewelry - Innovative Wire with Jan Stephens

One Saturday, March 10, 24 or April 7, 9AM - 4PM

Ages 16 and up. This course takes the student through the basic elements of wire wrap so that you can be proficient enough to follow magazine directions and begin to create jewelry on your own at the end of the course. Jan Stephens, master wire jewelry artisan will help students learn the fundamentals of wire art jewelry. Bracelets, earrings, rings and pendants will be created of sterling silver, copper wire or brass wire and will incorporate natural stones, beads and faceted gems into various simple, yet  elegant designs. Her classes are an entertaining and educational experience where students take lifetime skills as well as treasures with them at the end of her six week course. Materials and supplies are additional and can be purchased through the instructor. All levels welcomed.

 For all levels of experience ages 16 to adult. If you always wanted to learn how to use a pottery wheel or learn the basics of hand building this is the class for you. Satisfaction guaranteed!  Students will make original functional ceramic pieces on the pottery wheel. Work at your own pace, this class is tailored specifically to each individual level of experience, focusing on throwing, trimming and glazing. Perfect class for beginners, and great for those who already are familiar with the wheel. Course fee includes all clay, glaze materials, and firing.
