David and Mary Ann Klimek have been teaching at the Quinlan for over three years. They consider themselves to be "hobbyists" more than professional potters, yet their work, ideas and passion for the medium would make you believe otherwise. 

Their philosophy and the heart of each class is for the people that "just want to try it" with no pressure to actually be "good at it." The Klimeks are nurturers, helping each student in their class realize what they are capable of and each and every student has come away satisfied in their accomplishments with pieces that they are proud to show off.

David and Mary Ann have also taught courses in stained glass and completed several important pieces for local churches. (If there were enough interest, we would be glad to offer a course in stained glass in a future Quinlan catalog!)
