Popular Painting Teacher Returning to the Quinlan this Fall

Toni Treverton is offering a 3-day "Beginners in Oil" course this fall. Toni resided in Duluth and taught weekly classes at the Quinlan from 2001 to 2003. Toni enjoys sharing her knowledge of Oil Painting techniques through teaching. She received much praise from former students for the good foundation she provided through her class lessons. "It is always a joy for me to see beginners, who've never painted, complete their first works of Art... and to know they now have a foundation to proceed from..."

Early on, Toni's degree in Fine Art Photography from the university of Florida let her into the commercial art field for several years after college, but her first love was always painting. She has now been painting in oil for 20 years and enjoys experimenting with many different styles and techniques of oil painting.

She has studied with Marge Tilley in Columbus, Georgia; Burton Silverman, and Marc Chatov while in Atlanta. She is a member of Oil Painters of America and Portrait Society of America. She now lives in Lakeland, Florida where she has entered and received awards in many local shows, and continues to teach weekly classes.
