New Projects for your child! Throw a ceramics party today!

If you have a birthday to plan and you are looking for something different, why not throw a clay party?  Host an event where the memory will last a lifetime. This is also a great activity for Girl and Boy Scout Troops who need to earn their craft badges. 

Our teachers are constantly coming up with new and exciting ways to use clay that are certain to delight and inspire your child! custom figures, mirror frames, dishes and much, much more. The tile below was made using a magazine image to create a custom stamp to imprint into the clay. Your child can bring a favorite image, photograph or greeting card and create a one-of-a-kind, ready to display art tile.

Children of ages 5 and up have had a ball at the Quinlan making clay projects!  Past handbuilt projects include bells, insects, angels, sports figurines, chickens, clowns, ducks and plates.  We use a low-fire clay body which allows your child to create and glaze their piece in one sitting- you simply return the following week to pick up the pieces after they have been fired. 

Children's handbuilding parties are $15 per guest (children 14 and under, with a minimum charge of $105- or 7 kids- per party). We supply all that you will need- one fantastic teacher and two hours of fun where each child gets to create their very own party favor. 

Normally, a project can be finished in an hour to an hour and a half, leaving the remainder of time for cake and presents, as necessary. We can accomodate up to 30 children ages 5 and up per party. Fee includes all supplies.  You may bring your own refreshments and decorations, but the Quinlan does not provide clean-up services for refreshments.

Wheel instruction, as seen above, is available only by special arrangement. The use of the pottery wheel is often more difficult and frustrating for children and requires individual instruction. We have a limited number of wheels, please call for pricing and availability for wheel classes for children.
