Three New Exhibitions on View Through October June 7th
Atlanta Fine Arts League Exhibition "Contemplations", Local artists mother and daughter Ruth Money and Ann Goble to display recent work in "Generations" and a special return of found object sculpture artist Jane Taylor of Cottage Garden Antiques and her exhibition "Rustication." Exhibition Dates: April 2 - June 7, 2009.
The Atlanta Fine Arts
League will be featured in the headlining exhibition “Contemplations.” The group was created in the fall of 2005 by a
gathering of Atlanta area artists
to provide professional visual artists opportunities
for exhibitions, art and business education through workshops, critique
sessions, discussion groups and additional
opportunities for community service through their art. Their professional
artist members include painters, sculptors, print makers, designers and medical
illustrators. Diverse in style and
media, this exhibition demonstrates their
ability to produce fine art work.
Ruth Money and daughter
Ann Goble present their recent work in “Generations.” Ruth and Ann have been long-time members and supporters of
the Quinlan Visual Arts Center
and the Georgia Art League. Breathtaking still-life, landscapes and painterly
figurative work will be showcased by these
artists in this must-see exhibition. For more information on these artists, see the article "Passion for art flows through generations" by Tasha Biggers from the May 27th issue of The Gainesville Times HERE .
Returning to the Quinlan this spring is local sculptor Jane Taylor. Featured in a triumphant exhibition in the summer of 2006, Taylor is owner of Cottage Garden Antiques in Gainesville. This show is called "Rustications," a term used to describe her ingenious rustic creations and massive structures. Her clever use of patina and eclectic array oof items fashioned from found elements and salvaged architectural treasures are one of a kind.
