Local Bronze Sculptor to show retrospective of his work this winter

Opening Thursday December 4th will be an exhibition of bronze sculptures by Gregory Johson of Cumming Georgia. This show entitled "Everyone is a Work of Art" will feature twenty figurative bronzes that have been selected from a body of work spanning the last fifteen years. Soft, classical compositions realistically rendered of common people, children and historic figures. The artist has lived in North Georgia since 1981 and has created many commissioned pieces for local families.

Johnson's work, as exhibitied in city sculpture walks, recently won the People's Choice Award in Gilette, Wyoming and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as well as the Best of Bronze in columbus, Georgia. His work also appears in the Guild Sourcebook and American Artbook.
