This winter at the Quinlan

The Emergent Eye, an R.A. Miller Retrospective, and African Children's Art Project: Kenya, a collaboration with Mason Murer Fine Art

December 1 2005 - February 7, 2006 

This winter at the Quinlan, join us for an exhibition of emerging Atlanta Artists, a collaboration with Mason Murer Fine Art and featuring the work of Dennis Campay, Billy Colbert, Linda Mitchell and Arran Steen.  This show opened December 1st and will close on February 7th, 2006. Also featured during this time is the African Children's Art Project: Kenya (click here to view the website).  There are over one million orphans in Kenya and this organization works to help these children through art by funding art supplies, lunch for each child and teachers.  Pieces are currently on sale for $25 to $40 and all proceeds from the sale of the children's artwork will go directly to the Kenyan art center and orphanage as outreach to communities there.  An R.A. Miller Retrospective is also featured at this time.  Miller, a Gainesville Native and popular American folk artist is best remembered for his "Blow Oskar" images, distinctive color palette and vibrant, humorous imagery.
