YOUTH ART MONTH 2012
March is nationally
recognized as Youth Art Month, and
at the Quinlan Visual Arts
Center it will be
celebrated in style. All Quinlan gallery spaces will be devoted to the display
of youth art entries from March 16 through April 14, 2012. This annual youth art competition is
sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Gainesville. All local Gainesville
and Hall County middle and high schools have been
invited to submit their best artwork from students grade 6 to 12. Winners of this competition will receive
scholarship awards from the Charles J. Thurmond Youth Art Scholarship
fund. The award announcements will be
made at a reception for students and parents will be held at the Quinlan on
Friday, March 16, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

We are so pleased to announce the opportunity for elementary students to participate in Youth Art Month this spring!

elementary school students grades 3 – 5. All participants will receive special
certificates of recognition.
