Printmaking: Portfolio Series with John Amoss
Six Saturdays, October 2-November 6, 9AM-12PM,
Quinlan Visual Arts Center Cost: $100, ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED!
This
course focuses on etching using non-hazardous materials. Students will
learn the techniques of etching and the safe use of materials and
equipment in a studio setting. A portfolio review seminar will be
included to help students analyze their work. John is an assistant
professor of art at Gainesville State College, has a MFA in Printmaking
and has also taught various fine art and commercial art courses at UGA,
and the Atlanta College of Art (now SCAD) including: Graphic Design,
Illustration, Relief Intaglio Printmaking, Beginning and Intermediate Graphics, Beginning and Intermediate Drawing, Digital Photography, Watercolor, and Art Appreciation.
This class is designed for high school students to bolster their portfolios but is open to any adult interested in the course. This class is open to all levels of experience. If you are interested in registering, please call the Quinlan (770) 536-2575. |
