Gainesville framer a big winner at International Framing Competition in Las Vegas
Gainesville frame, Malia Bolt of Purple House Gallery and Frame Studio won honors at the International Framing Competition of the professional Picture
Framers Association (PPFA) in her first appearance in the competition. Awards include second place in the print competition as well as First Time High Point Entry.
At the Paint the Town event on Saturday, May 19th, Bolt supplied all participants with a $20 gift certificate for Purple House.

Generous Donations Ensure a Successful Event!
The Quinlan Visual Arts Center would like to send a special thank you to the sponsors that made Paint the Town possible. Not everyone is aware that the Quinlan Visual Arts Center was selected in 2006 to receive a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the arts as part of their Challenge America: Reaching Every Community program. It was this grant that brought new opportunities to the Quinlan in the past year in celebration of its 60th Anniversary.
Paint the Town was planned as an opportunity to celebrate the artists
of Gainesville and surrounding communities as a culmination of this
anniversary celebration. We would like to thank the National Endowment

In conjunction with Youth Art Month 2007, the Quinlan will also be hosting Budding Artists, a Garden Show on display March 21 through 23 featuring the members of the Creative Study Club.

60th Anniversary Party
The Quinlan Visual Arts Center was founded in 1946, and in commemoration of sixty years of arts programming in Northeast Georgia, we will be hosting a series of events in 2007. Saturday, January 27th the Quinlan Celebrated its 60th Anniversary in style with an open house in the afternoon and a special invitational reception that evening.
