GREAT NEWS! The Quinlan Receives General Operating Support

The Quinlan received a grant for general operating support from the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund, an initiative of the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. In this current economic climate, a gift of assistance with daily operations is priceless and will only serve to enhance and expand upon the quality programming provided by the center and alreday enjoyed by the community.Additional information accessible HERE.

An evening with artist Charles Young Walls

 Portrait painting demonstration was a great success!

On Thursday, June 24th 6-8PM. Charles Young Walls demonstrated his approach to portraiture. More than 60 folks attended! Thank you to Charles Young Walls for an eye opening demonstration and Tina Carlson-Griffeth, board member and artist, for modeling and taking the time to make this happen!

More Than a Likeness: Capturing Character

An Evening with Charles Young Walls portrait painting demonstration 

Thursday, June 24th 6-8PM. Free Admission to the general public! Charles Young Walls will demonstrate his approach to portraiture. Please come and watch a more open and sensitive process to begin a portrait that allows for the subject and artist to collaborate as the sitting progresses. Charles will discuss aspects essential to creating portraits that evoke the sitter’s unique humanity.
