Talk about some Holiday Fun!

On Sunday, December 2nd the Quinlan Visual Arts Center opened its doors for the annual Christmas on Green Street celebration. A Gainesville tradition, families flocked to the sidewalks to see the holiday parade with highlights including classic automobiles, the Grinch and, of course, Santa! Immediately following the parade all children ages 5 and up were welcomed in to the Quinlan classrooms for the Children's Holiday Art Party.

The lovely finished product.

There was punch and cookies, a holiday movie, and some fun festive art projects. Kids chose from snowflake and Santa ornaments, a Frosty the Snowman bracelet and some kooky fun reindeer antlers.

Thanks to the Art League, the Quinlan was able to provide  this fun evening of art free of charge. Thank you to the Art League for their sponsorship and for providing volunteers to help with the event. A special thank you to Magician Jeff McClure for creating balloon animals for the children at the party.
