Paint the Town, Saturday May 19thPaint the Town was the first plein air painting event hosted by the Quinlan Visual Arts Center as part of the celebration of the 60th Anniversary and made possible in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Fifty artists participated in the event, going on location to create stunning compositions based on the beautiful city of Gainesville. Executive Director Maureen Files and visiting workshop instructor and artist Roseta Santiago judged the paintings at the artist reception at one of the most possible painting locations, the Historic Downtown Gainesville square.
