The Quinlan receives NEA Grant

National Endowment for the Arts grant awarded to the Quinlan 

The Quinlan Visual Arts Center has been selected to receive a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts as part of their Challenge America: Reaching Every Community program.

This grant has will be utilized as part of the ongoing 60th Anniversary Celebration of the Quinlan Visual Arts Center. Established in 1946, the Quinlan Visual Arts Center has been proudly serving the northeast Georgia area as an exclusive venue for the visual arts. Look for a commemorative exhibition of artists from the 1964 building opening November 30th, a special birthday celebration in January, special visiting artists,  lectures, community celebrations, and Paint the Town, a multi-media plein air painting event scheduled for Saturday, May 19th 2007 where artists will paint on site in and around the city of Gainesville. All upcoming events are made possible in part by the National Endowment for the Arts grant.
