About the Instructor

Wendee VanOrder is a board certified art therapist and educator with international experience working with a wide range of populations from pediatrics to geriatrics. She earned her BA in Psychology from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA and her Masters in Art therapy from Marywood University in Scranton, PA. She's been a guest lecturer at Savannah College of Art and Design, UGA Gwinnett campus and Emory University. She's also presented workshops on Art Therapy at Freeman Counseling Center, Georgia Baptist Children's Home, as well as for the North Texas Art Therapy Association and GCCA. A poetess and mosaic artist, Wendee has exhibited her work at multiple locations in both Georgia and Texas, as well as online galleries. An author of three self published books Pieces of His Heart (2007), When Wounded Trees Cry (2014), and Ravens and Receipts (2020), Wendee loves a wide variety of art forms and encouraging others to enjoy the creative process.
