David A. Leffel will return to the Quinlan to teach his much anticipated workshop on Painting Portraits and Still Life in Oil for four days, Tuesday through Friday, September 30 - October 3. Author of An Artist Teaches: Reflections on the Art of Painting, David A. Leffel is truly a 21st Century "old master." Leffel studied both at Parson's School of Design and the prestigious Art Students League of New York prior to becoming a teacher there. Best known for his abilities to render light and shadow in what has been likened to the Flemish/Dutch old master tradition, Leffel remains the premier instructor to many professional artists. It is a rare privilege to study in an intimate workshp setting with an artist of this caliber.
