Palette Knife Techniques, One Sunday
November 20

10 AM - 4:30 PM
ALL SKILL LEVELS
$175

Students will learn palette knife techniques using personal source materials such as flowers and simple still life objects. Different application techniques including cutting an edge, scraping and layering paint will be explored.  Some students may choose to use a ghost study to apply the final layers of paint.  Beginning with a simple drawing with paint, darks are laid in followed by mid-tones and, finally, the lights.  Finishing touches with the knife will be applied for highlights and edge work.  Color palettes may range from bold to neutrals depending on personal taste. Will reinforce fine art principles including value, design and color harmony.
