Exploring Watercolor, I and II
Session TWO
Exploring Watercolor I: August 28th - October 9 I 1 week off for Labor Day Watercolor I is a prerequisite to watercolor II. Please sign up for Exploring Watercolor I in order to take Exploring Watercolor II. If you have any questions, feel free to call the Quinlan at 770-563-2575. Exploring Watercolor II: October 16 - November 20 Registration for this course will open in September. Ages 21 + 9:00am - 11:30am $150 Masks are optional but recommended for students.

Course and Instructor Information
In Exploring Watercolor I and II, Krys Pettit will give you the basics and practical knowledge of working with watercolor. You will get tips and tricks based on her real-life personal experience, watch Krys demonstrate how to paint, and practice techniques. You’ll create your own paintings and learn to develop your personal artistic style. Krys can help you overcome hesitation and gain confidence with this exciting and beautiful medium.
Krys Pettit has worked with watercolor for almost 30 years. Her love of the medium and her experience make her an expert in handling watercolor. Having taken workshops with nationally known instructors Tony Couch, Tom Lynch, and Tony Van Hasselt along with regional watercolor teachers and private instructors, Krys brings knowledge, painting demonstrations and a sense of fun to her work and teaching.
Krys Pettit began exhibiting over 20 years ago and has continually shared her work in art centers, exhibitions and art festivals. She recently exhibited 32 of her watercolors in the Quinlan Visual Arts Center Spring 2022 Exhibition.
Krys has also exhibited her work in juried art exhibitions at The Alpharetta Arts Center, The Atlanta Artists Center, The Booth Museum of Art Downtown Gallery, The Bowman Art Center, The Marietta-Cobb Museum of Art, and Tannery Row Artist Colony. She is honored to have her work and watercolor house portraits in many private collections in the US and abroad.
