Painting in Alla Prima Workshop instructed by Beatriz Maliszewski
Saturday, April 19, 2025 | 10:00 AM-1:00 PM
Alla prima is a painting technique in which wet paint is applied directly onto wet paint, usually within a single session. This method emphasizes spontaneity and expressiveness, allowing artists to create vibrant, dynamic works without waiting for layers to dry. The technique features bold brushstrokes that combine soft, blended areas with sharp, defined lines.
In this course, students will have the opportunity to create their own alla prima works using oil paints that will be provided by the instructor. Through hands-on experience, they will learn to harness the energy and immediacy of this technique to create dynamic, expressive paintings. |
