About the Instructor
Hello! I'm Sierra Jackson Drinks, and I'm thrilled to share my creativity as an art and design instructor with you. I graduated from Brenau University's Women's College in 2008 with a major in Studio Art. Since then, I've immersed myself in various artistic fields, such as custom kitchen and cabinetry design, photography, painting, and drawing.
My passion for fostering creativity led me to work with students at the Boys and Girls Club, where I've had the joy of providing enriching art activities during the school year and summer. Over the past two summers, I've also been fortunate to assist at the Quinlan Art Center's art camp, allowing me to develop further my skills in teaching art to young minds. Currently, I serve as a first-grade teacher with Gainesville City Schools, where I nurture young learners daily. I am particularly excited about the upcoming drawing classes for high and middle school students, where my goal is to enhance their drawing skills through the strategic application of art and design elements. Every student has a unique, creative voice, and I can't wait to help them discover and express it. Together, let's embark on an inspiring artistic adventure. |
