Learn to paint flowers in oil with loose and fresh direct approach in this 3-day workshop.
Pat will share an easy and fun approach to painting flowers. We'll cover how to simplify flower shapes, depict from thru observation of light and shadow patterns, mix color and add expressive brushwork to your paintings. The workshop will include demo's, instruction and one-on-one guidance as needed while you paint. Demo's will include how to paint hydrangeas, roses, clear vases, ceramic containers and more.
On Day One, we'll paint together with photos supplied by the instructor to concentrate on learning the transparent/opaque technique. Then you will bring in flowers of your choice and students will work from your own simple fresh flower set-ups on day two and three.
