YOUTH ART MONTH

March is nationally recognized as Youth Art Month, and at the Quinlan, it will be celebrated in style! All gallery spaces will be devoted to the display of youth art entries from March 17th through April 3. This annual youth art competition is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Gainesville and the Charles J. Thurmond Youth Scholarship Fund. All locally enrolled Gainesville and Hall County middle and high school students have been invited to submit their best artwork from grades 6 through 12. Call your local school to find out if they participate today!

Our most exciting event of the year, the 32nd annual Gala dinner and art auction, is coming up on Saturday, March 6, 2010. In both a live and silent auction, we will showcase our artists’ work and we expect enthusiastic bidding by art collectors and patrons alike. As our largest and most important fundraising event, the Gala will set the stage for a new year of excellent programs, courses and workshops as well as the myriad of exhibition, promotion and sale opportunities just for our artists. (We encourage you to you to participate in our first Bird’s Nest Invitational this spring.)
