Dynamic Landscape Painting
The class will explore all aspects of landscape painting with a particular emphasis on visual approaches and color. Strategies will be taught about how to use the building blocks of light, color, and composition to make the painting feel harmonious and pleasing so as to express a particular statement about the subject. Brief demonstrations will be presented throughout the session to emphasize particular points and each student will receive one-on-one instruction. Bring some of your favorite photographic or other references to work from. The class will be taught in oil paints and all levels are welcome.

Celeste's Bio |
Following more than two decades of practicing law, Celeste embarked on her art career through the time-honored master/apprentice model. She has worked as Marc Chatov’s apprentice since 2010. Celeste has also studied figure drawing with Atlanta artist, Ben Smith, and she has taken workshops with Casey Baugh, Albert Handell, Bill Davidson, Margaret Dyer, and Greg Biolchini. Celeste has exhibited in multiple national and regional juried shows, including shows sponsored by the Oil Painters of America, the Pastel Society of America, Women Painters of the Southeast, The Inernational Association of Pastel Societies, Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, Atlanta Artists Center, the Northeast Florida Pastel Society and others, and she has received multiple awards. Among other associations, Celeste founded the TupeloStudio Painters and she is a founding member of The Brushwork Society. Celeste is represented by allison sprock fine art, www.allisonsprockfineart.com, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
