The Quinlan Visual Arts Center seeks to supplement school art education by providing art education opportunities, Summer Art Camp, field trips, guided tours and art classes for children. Children first grade and up may attend Summer Art Camp, a fun, informative and creative day camp for that runs 8 weeks through June and July each year. “Arty Party” art classes available throughout the year offer a variety of opportunities for children and teens to learn, grow, gain self-esteem and discover their creative spirits working with all media including drawing, painting, clay, jewelry design, book making, paper crafts, photography and more. Perfect for churches, scout troops and home school groups.

Book Your Field Trip with Quinlan Ceramic Program
We invite educators to book a memorable and hands-on field trip experience with Quinlan Ceramic Program. Our field trips provide students the opportunity to explore the world of ceramics, learning valuable skills while creating their own unique pottery pieces. Each field trip includes all necessary materials, including clay, tools, and glazing.
Field Trip Options
Option 1: Hand building (Maximum 28 students)
In this session, students will delve into the art of hand building techniques. Each student will have the opportunity to create one to two vessels using basic handbuilding methods such as pinch pots, coils, and slabs.
Option 2: Wheelthrowing (Maximum 10 students)
This option offers a hands-on experience in wheelthrowing. Students will learn the fundamentals of shaping clay on a potter’s wheel, creating one to two vessels during the session.

Important Details:
- A minimum of 4 students is required to book the field trip.
- One chaperone is required for every ten students.
- All pottery projects will need to be picked up approximately two weeks after the visit. Delivery is not available.
- Payment is due two weeks before your visit. If you prefer to bring a check on the day of your visit, please notify us in advance. Failure to pay on time may result in the cancellation of your reservation.
