Mr. Alfred Eugene (Gene) Coker, 90
Alfred Eugene (Gene) Coker, age 90, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on December 28, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his life partner, Mary Brennan and his brother, Hamilton.
He is survived his children, Nina, Zane, Lea and Felicia; sisters, Barbara and Joyce and brother, Lyman. Mary’s children, Mike, Tim, Kathleen, JJ and Jack.
Gene was an avid painter, adventurist, reader, dreamer, hiker, chef and philosopher. Gene attributed his passion for life to “living in the moment”. He positively touched all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to The Quinlan Art Gallery, 514 Green Street, Gainesville, GA 30501.
