This class focuses on how to make a painting look three dimensional and realistic. In this class you will learn how to paint convincing silver tones and show the reflective quality of metal as well as the transparency and reflectiveness of glass. We will focus on how to show highlights, shadows and reflections while still showing the shape of the object and how to make your paintings shine. You will also learn how to mix your pigments, so you have dynamic vibrant shadows and dark areas to enhance and add life to your paintings. We will work on dry brush techniques to add texture and make weathered objects look realistic. Learn how to add those finishing details that make your watercolors full of life! Materials needed for class: A full detailed list of materials and paint colors will be sent out to participants. Paper size will be 15x21 (half sheet) and I recommend 300lb cold press. |
