Melanie Morris
Fast & Fearless Florals in Acrylic
Sept. 7 - 8
Friday - Saturday
10 AM - 4 PM
$450
Join Melanie for a fast-paced workshop that will help you create fresher and more intuitive acrylic paintings. The class will paint from life so each student will choose a floral from a number of arrangements that will be provided. Melanie will start the class by walking students through how to create a successful floral painting – from composition to color mixing. The class will then paint a series of timed, small paintings with individual instruction. Melanie will start each timed painting with a demo so there will be numerous demos each day. Students love this class and are often surprised to find their favorite paintings are the ones they created in the shortest amount of time. On the second day, the class will pick different floral arrangements and create more quick paintings. If you want to create loose, colorful florals, this is the class for you. This class is appropriate for all levels – from beginner to advanced.

Student Testimonials
I loved the workshop. I learned so much! I particularly benefited from Melanie teaching me how to mix paint. Melanie's instruction was clear and concise. Thank you for a wonderful two days. Judy H.
Unlike many professional painters, Melanie is also a fabulous instructor. She spends significant time with each student, shares "insider tips and techniques" freely and is full of encouragement. I left her workshop with new tools and a much better understanding of acrylics. Definitely got my money's worth! Gail W.
I've taken painting classes with five different instructors in the past 16 months, and Melanie is by far the best (which is why I've taken four of her classes so far). She can take a neophyte from blank canvas to finished painting in an afternoon. Her style of teaching is relaxed and nonjudgmental. I will be signing up for more of her classes because I seem to learn something more with each class. Barbara W.
I absolutely love to paint now and have so much confidence in doing it thanks to Melanie's class! It has opened my eyes to a different style of painting that suits me and makes me extremely happy! Cathe H.
Melanie is truly an instructor in that she has the ability to work on a demonstration painting and at the same time explain what she is doing and why she is doing it! She has a wonderful sense of color and shares her knowledge to help her students recognize all of the subtle range of hues and values and how they work together. Composition is another area in which Melanie shares her mastery of the subject. Her workshops are well organized and she creates an encouraging atmosphere. What I remember the most is Melanie generously sharing tips with her students that she learned the hard way over the course of her art career. Collete W.
