9:00 AM-4:00 PM Cost: $425 This workshop will be about thinking in terms of light and shadow when looking at our subject (landscape and still life). Students will learn how to use light and shadow to construct a good composition, set up simple values that capture the essence of a scene and how to simplify the thought process of mixing color. Students will be using both photographs of landscape and still life set ups. We will go through the painting process from thumbnails to finished painting touching on the fundamental principles of painting. Demonstrations will be in oil but acrylics and pastels are welcome. |
